Emergency Winter Warming Shelter Update

AmeriCorps St. Louis is proud to be part of an all hands on deck effort this week to provide 24/7 emergency sheltering to the unhoused. We opened our shelter on Saturday evening, and will remain open into this next weekend, as temperatures remain below 20 degrees. This is unprecedented for us.

THANK YOU to our shelter staff - John Pawloski, Zippy, and Mary Hoelterhoff, who have been here continuously since Saturday evening.

Thank you to Kevin & Tina from Places for People who have stepped up to provide us with more professional support - including case management for folks staying with us for the week.

And lastly thank you to all of our amazing AmeriCorps Members who been here around the clock! They have been continuously cleaning the facility, doing temperature checks, serving meals, doing dishes, monitoring showers, getting clothing for guests, watching movies with them, and just having nice conservations with them.

There are many ways to support these efforts across the city- but if you'd like to donate directly to ACSTL - please visit www.americorpsstl.org/donate
